Introduction

The biggest boon and ban of today’s world is social media and, in this world, many people find themselves getting distracted by it and not as focused as they should be on today’s work. While working in any corporate office or environment an average employee waste nearly 2 – 3 hours scrolling social media platforms and doing not productive. The reason for this is not a lack of dedication but rather a lack of proper monitoring of those emotions. We are not aware of our emotions during our work as a result we are unaware of the fact that how inefficient we have started to be. So, we are building a web app where you can track your emotions through your camera while doing your work and it generates a report which shows how your emotions were throughout the session. Our web app also calculates your overall efficiency score which is derived from your emotions throughout. A report is generated of the same and is made downloadable for the users.

Description

Our web app would require camera permissions, once permission is granted there would be an option to start a session. The camera will run a capture in the background and identify the emotions of the person. When the session is ended a detailed report is created and can also be downloaded. Below are the features which will be provided by our web app.

Features

Track your emotions – There would be a feature to start a session and track your emotions.
Visualize a report – The Webapp would generate a detailed report about the emotions of the user throughout the session.
Download report – The web app Will have a feature to download the generated report.
Compare with the past results – The generated report will be saved in the database for future comparisons for the users.

Limitation

Limited Accuracy in ML Model.
Emotion detection not accurate if no proper lighting.
Currently The time interval of storing the data is very large (app. 5 sec).

Future Enhancements

Integrate an Attendance Model in the website.
Collaborate with companies for the employee’s emotion tracking.
More Accuracy in the Model
Add reminders after certain period of time or specific behavior of the employee.
